Jenyffer Vieira (Dr. Catherline Long said she’s from Brazil), one of the volunteers for the helicopter egg drop, has been very busy after taking care of all those (16,000!) eggs that dropped from the Airborne Aviation chopper (would the bigger helicopter make less turbulence?) during the Hope Collective event on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields in Lihu‘e. Jenyffer was at the Kaua‘i Job Fair, presented by the county’s Office of Economic Development in collaboration with the state’s Workforce Development Division, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, looking for jobs for her Hale ‘Opi‘o clients.
That was after she took in the Kaua‘i Buddhist Council Hanamatsuri festivities at Kaua‘i Soto Zen Temple Zenshuji in Hanapepe, which will be hosting a Japanese and Okinawan song and dance fundraiser to repair the temple’s roof, on Saturday, April 22, 2023, starting at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for this event are available by emailing kauaisotozen@gmail.com or calling 808-335-3521.
