LIHU‘E — The Rookies, defending champions from 2022, continue to be undefeated in the Kaua‘i Senior League standings by virtue of a 19-6 win over Kawaihau on Saturday during senior softball league play at Isenberg Park.
The senior softball league leaders are challenged by Barteks, who have a 9-1 record following its 16-4 win over Solid Steel on Saturday at Peter Rayno Park in Hanamaulu.
Makos, playing a doubleheader in Hanamaulu due to a rained out contest, split its outing, taking a 12-10 edge over the Hillsiders before dropping 15-13 to Barteks in the makeup contest.
Saturday’s games move to Pat Baniaga field in Hanapepe, and Isenberg Park with the first pitches going at 9 a.m. at both fields.
No results were available for the Senior Softball, or 70’s division contests.
