LIHU‘E — Friday, March 17 is the deadline to nominate kupuna for the county Agency on Elderly Affairs 2023 Outstanding Older Americans recognition.
“Every May, during Older Americans Month, we pay tribute to older adults 65 years and older who play vital, positive roles in our communities,” said Kealoha Takahashi of the Agency on Elderly Affairs.
This year’s theme, “Aging Unbound,” offers an opportunity to explore diverse aging experiences and discuss how communities can combat stereotypes about aging.
Nomination forms are available at the Agency on Elderly Affairs in the Lihu‘e Civic Center Pi‘ikoi Building, Suite 330, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individuals must call 808-241-4470 to access the building.
