But the Menehune rebounded to take the Voyagers, 7-1, in the first game, and 17-0 in the nightcap, giving Lee’s score the only run allowed by Waimea during the doubleheader.
According to Scoring Live.c0m, the day’s second doubleheader saw Kaua‘i High School take both ends against Kapa‘a at Vidinha Stadium where the Red Raiders finished the opening end with a 6-3 edge over the Warriors before nipping Kapa‘a, 3-2, in the nightcap.
KIF baseball continues on Wednesday, when the Junior Varsity Red Raiders host the JV Kapa‘a team in a 6:30 p.m. single contest at Vidinha Stadium.
The Island School varsity team will host the varsity Kapa‘a team in a doubleheader on Friday, when the opening pitch goes off at 4 p.m., followed by the second contest starting after a 30-minute break.
On Saturday, Kaua‘i High School will make the trek out to Cook Field to face Waimea High School in a triple bill. The JV contest kicks off at 8 a.m. on a two-hour time limit, with the first of the varsity games starting at 10:30 a.m. The nightcap follows after a 30-minute break between games.
