LIHU‘E — The Lihu‘e A’s took double wins on Saturday after getting past Makos by just one run, and nailing an 18-7 win over Kuku’s Aces in a makeup game from a previous rained-out contest.
The win puts the A’s in the middle of the standings with five wins and five losses, while Makos drops to 3-3. Kuku’s Aces are still looking for the team’s first win in seven outings.
The Rookies, defending champions from 2022, improve to 7-0 to lead the Kaua‘i Senior Softball league following the team’s 20-4 victory over Solid Steel.
During the 70s division contests that play on Fridays starting at 9 a.m. at Isenberg Park, Tsunami picked up its first win in two weeks after getting past Na Koa Kupuna, 21-14.
The 70s Division is led by the Koloa Cane Cutters, who improved to 2-0 following a 16-6 win over the Ahukini Wharf Rats.
