Who is the Boys &Girls Club Youth of the Year?
David Braman’s mom is happy the decision will be announced on Feb. 26 at Aulani Resort because she is a Disney fan, through and through (even has Disney on her smartphone, David pointed out).
Congratulations to Nainoa Hirokane, Michaela Alcaraz (remember them from the violin ensemble that played at the East Kaua‘i Lions Club Christmas party at the Hilton Garden Inn?), and David were the Boys &Girls Club, Lihu‘e Clubhouse candidates who spent the last 11 weeks (mahalo, Asaka Herman for being the chauffer for all those O‘ahu trips) in “academy training (that included a Dress for Success trip to Macy’s).”
Tina Albao said all seven contestants worked hard, and was pleased to announce that David is one of three finalists moving on to determine who will be the Boys &Girls Club Youth of the Year. Good luck, David!
Kudos to Tom Freestone of the Ocean Course at Hokuala on getting the 46th John Burns Intercollegiate golf tournament underway, Thursday where the weather was not indicative of the concern for inclement weather that’s supposed to hit Kaua‘i.
