A 2-ton problem
Kaua‘i has a 2-ton trash problem; crashed vehicles left on the side of the road stripped of their license plates. Many stay for months.
The Kaua‘i Police Department has a recording that says property owners are responsible for removal, and that’s unfair and expensive.
Why not run the VIN # on these vehicles and compel the owner to take care of his mess?
It is essentially trespassing or littering depending on where the vehicle is abandoned. If KPD is unwilling to pursue that option then the county needs to include removal in their budget.

Thank you
I would like to say a big thank you to the young woman who painted the old bus stop on Koloa Road by the 7th Day Adventist Church.
The structure was full of graffiti and now it is quite beautiful with flowers and waterfalls. I don’t know who she is but she is very talented.
Second thanks for whoever it was who got the street lights working on the Koloa Shaka roundabout. What a difference it makes, especially at 5 a.m.
