Following are this week’s synopses of shows on KBFD TV, which televises Korean dramas with English subtitles.
Weekly Update
“Blessed by the Sea”
Episodes 37, 38,
39 and 40 (Sunday)
Today, 6:40 p.m.: Chung-yi agrees to resign from Jubo after losing a bet with Poong-do. Chung-yi persuades a customer from returning a merchandise to exchanging it. Pil-du childes with Poong-do that he’s at the mercy of a rumor for every action he takes.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Poong-do regains his memory and blows up at Pil-du. Poong-do hurts his head trying to rescue Chung-yi. Ji-na gets nervous seeing a spot on Yul-mae that her daughter had. Poong-do invites everyone who’s connected to his lost memory to his home. Yul-mae disappears from the TV station, creating havoc.
“Hospital Ship”
Episodes 17 and 18 (Monday); Episodes 19 and 20 (Tuesday)
Monday, 6:45 p.m.: Su Bong is like a father to Jae Geol. Su Bong arrives at the hospital ship with a hernia. He can’t get anesthesia and Jae Geol shows up with an acupuncture needles. Traditional and modern medicine come together for the surgery.
Tuesday, 6:50 p.m.: Eun Jae rushes to a site where her brother was. She fears of losing another family member. Hyun tells her news of Woo Jae and also of her estranged father’s.
“Secret House”
Episodes 69 and 70 (Wednesday); Episode 71 and 72 (Thursday)
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hwan tells Secretary Min that his secret’s been revealed by Sook-jin. Tae-hyung asks Sol who her father is. Ji-hwan’s mother recognizes Chairman Nam’s house and the caretakers bring her to the house. Ji-hwan finally finds his mother.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hwan’s mother’s memory comes back temporarily. Sook-jin tries to stop her from talking. It’s shocking for Sook-jin to find out that Ji-hwan’s true identity.
“Gwanggaeto”
Episode 7 (Friday); Episode 8 (Saturday)
Friday, 7:50 p.m.: Murong Bao falsely promises that Houyan will pay reparations and invites Prince Dammang to dinner. Suspecting foul play with the food, Damdeok accompanies his brother. But Feng Bao instead gives the two brothers flutes tainted with poison.
Saturday, 7:50 p.m.: Damdeok falls off a cliff after being shot with a poisoned arrow. Feng Bao rejoices and gets rid of the evidence and disappears. While looking for Damdeok, the lord of Chaekseong finds a nameplate Feng Bao accidentally left behind. Gae Yeonsu uses his knowledge of what happened to pressure Murong Bao into giving reparations.
