Kudos to the Kaua‘i High School cheer squad that sends a representative squad to a lot of the Red Raider home events, where they work hard within the limited areas they’re allowed to perform in.
Amy Chun of the Monday Pau Hana Market at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e said the fresh corn is starting to come in, after two of the market vendors had good looking ears packed for sale. Does Mother’s Filipino Comfort Food use any of the material available from the vendors (that’s what makes it value-added) at the market? Or, how about some locally grown ube, as compared to the purple sweet potato?
Laurie Ho picked up a bunch of ube butter mochi and other comfort food for the musicians (kachi-kachi makes good shopping music), and Brooklyn was chasing after all those doggies that come to the market with their owners.
