The annual family-friendly event — walkers, strollers and leashed dogs are welcomed — will take place starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Lygate Park, utilizing Ke Ala Hele Makala‘e, or the multi-use path that runs through the park.
Admission fee is $30, with proceeds being used to support Pu‘uwai Canoe Club adult and youth programs that help and support Pu‘uwai’s mission of encouraging athletic endeavors based on Hawaiian traditions of aloha, ho‘ihi (respect), and ikaika kakauha (athletic strength).
The entry fee qualifies participants to prizes and random drawings.
Race information and packet pickup will take place Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lydgate Park main pavilion. The race packets will also be available Saturday from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. ahead of the opening pule that is scheduled for 7:45 a.m.
