One of the good things about Veterans Day is the reunion of people who have not seen each other for a long time (very nice to see Pastor Tom Iannucci…miss not having Pietro’s Pizza!). Yes, Jimmy Oyadomari (of the Korean War!), we miss not seeing Domi Alayvilla around, and how sad that the Scouts of America have been relegated to the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery multi-purpose building.
Kaua‘i road closures for the week of Nov. 13 – 19
The county Department of Public Works announced that portions of Halaulani Road in Kalihiwai will be closed until Nov. 15, weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for road resurfacing work. One lane will remain open to accommodate alternating traffic in both directions.
