Liliana Estep of Shell of a Lifetime (what? Limited time, free paintings?) was decked out in lei, Thursday during the weekly Aloha Market at the National Tropical Botanical Garden South Shore Visitor Center. Liliana said it’s not her birthday; she’s going traveling for a while, leaving her accounts to be cared for by “good people.”

Being at the Aloha Market was a dream come true for Jodie Agena Puata (she’s Da Cook!) of Lawai Market, who had a bunch of “little sweets” for the flow of shoppers and NTBG patrons … Jock Goodman was celebrating his new location in the weekly market, and Jessica Clabo is waiting until next week to move.
And, a special treat for New Year’s greeted guests to the weekly hula show, when Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin was personally able to greet guests and introduce them to hula, the ‘aina, and the Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leina‘ala.
Don’t forget to check out the Filipino programming celebrating Rizal Day starting at 11 a.m., Friday at the Kukui Grove Center.
