PO‘IPU — Two of Po‘ipu’s resorts have taken on new managerial staff, as both establishments plan to add new amenities for members.
On the town’s east end, Grand Hyatt Kauai announced Wednesday that Kristi Dickinson has been named spa director at Anara Spa, the largest spa on Kaua‘i.
Named “Spa Director of the Year” by American Spa Magazine in 2020, Dickinson joined Anara Spa as assistant spa director earlier this year. Dickinson previously spent the over 15 years working in managerial roles at spas and wellness centers across the western mainland U.S. She is also trained as a massage therapist, manual lymph drainage therapist, and is a spin and yoga instructor.
“Kristi brings such a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm,” said Grand Hyatt Kauai general manager Dan King. “We are fortunate to have her leading our experienced spa team.”
Under Dickinson’s management, Anara Spa plans to install new LED light therapy beds in the near future.
On Po‘ipu’s west end, residential and resort community Kukui‘ula announced Tuesday that Brian Hallberg has been appointed General Manager of The Club at Kukui‘ula. Hallberg will oversee the club’s spa and fitness centers, golf course, farm and dining establishments.
“Brian is a terrific fit and has already positioned himself as an asset to spearhead the next phase of growth at Kukui‘ula,” said Richard Albrecht, president of Kukui‘ula development. “We are honored to have him join the team following his years of experience.”
Touting over six years of managerial leadership, Hallberg graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in hospitality, where he started his career at a private club at Forest Highlands in Flagstaff, Arizona. Before reaching Kukui‘ula, Hallberg worked as a server at The Silverleaf Club in 2004 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Over the next 18 years, Hallberg would go on to become general manager at the club, overseeing all club operations.
“I’m honored to be a part of Kukui‘ula, contributing to the growth and evolution of The Club, as well as the success of its talented team,” said Hallberg. “My greatest hope is to carry on the legacy of ho‘okipa, or heartfelt Hawaiian hospitality, that Kukui‘ula has become known for — an aspect of our community members and guests have come to know and love.”
Under Hallberg’s management, Kuku‘iula plans to debut three new pickleball courts this winter.
