LIHU‘E — There is a lot more going on at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall on Friday than just Kimie Miner &Friends’ Christmas in Hawai‘i concert featuring the Makaha Sons.
Some 17 local vendors and four local eateries will set up shop in and around the hall for what is being billed as the Mele Marketplace, free and open to the public from 3 to 8:30 p.m.
At 3:30 p.m., the Kaua‘i Art Festival and Eyes Wide Open All Stars will dance, choreographed by Jennifer Bell-Grey.
Pineapple Express Kaua‘i, Shaka Burgers Hawai‘i, Poke and Poi Bowl and Kaua‘i Family Cafe will offer eats for sale. Vendors, including Kaua‘i Kookie, Kaua‘i Hemp Company, Lightshadow Crystals, Nui Fashions, Waipua Gardens, Surf Into Yoga, The HK Experience and others, will have last-minute Christmas gift ideas on display.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and show time is 7 p.m. for the Christmas in Hawai‘i concert, which also features Halau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leina‘ala, Bronson Aiwohi and the Mana Maoli Charter School Haumana.
