Richard Takeshi Nakata
Richard Takeshi Nakata passed away on Nov. 7, 2022. He was born on April 15, 1932. He is the former president and operator of Nishi Catering Service.
He was preceded in death by daughter Denise Nakata.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Kay Toshie Nakata, sons Steven (Suesue) Nakata and Kevin (Aiko) Nakata, and grandson Brian Nakata.
A service is Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Nu‘uanu Mortuary on Oahu. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. and services at 6 p.m. Burial will take place at Hawai‘i State Veterans Cemetery at Punchbowl on O‘ahu on Thursday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m.
Estrella Ramos
Estrella Ramos, 99, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away on Nov. 23, 2022 at Wilcox Medical Center. She was born on May 23, 1923, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband Ricardo M. Ramos and sons Elson and George Ramos.
She is survived by children Vicky Ramos, Arleen Ramos and Billy Ramos, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is Friday, Dec. 30, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Wearing masks in church is appreciated. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Leslie Ann Agno Macadamia
Leslie Ann Agno Macadamia, 29, of Kealia, passed away at home on Nov. 20, 2022. She was born in the Espiritu, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Aug. 4, 1993.
She was preceded in death by father-in-law James Macadamia.
She is survived by husband Jameson Macadamia, parents Joel and Flory Agno, brothers Louren Jay (Jeniffer) Agno and Joemar Agno, nephew Luke Asher Agno, niece Liana Rae Agno, mother-in-law Laurie Macadamia, aunty Clarita Domingo, and numerous aunties, uncles and friends.
A celebration of life is Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center, with visitation from 9 a.m., services at 10 a.m. and luncheon to follow.
