Aloha, Attalia and Eric Alverdes of Pineapple Expressions, and coordinators for the Wailua Creators’ Fair, who will be winging to Seattle on Friday! Attalia was busy showing the ropes to Mariah Hanki, who will be taking over the Kaua‘i duties of keeping the popular fair going — next one is on Dec. 23 from 8:30 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i Wailua Bay (did you see how many presents are overflowing from the Toys For Tots collection box there?), where the East Kaua‘i Lions Club held its Christmas party.

Kudos, Kaeton Iguchi (he used to wear football jersey No. 11 for the Kekaha Titans in the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League!) on launching his Grown Not Flown business of baseball caps demonstrating his pride of being born here! Kaeton was showing off his line at the Wailua Creators’ Fair with his parents’ Lightshadow Crystals offerings.
Drea Dooley of Kaua‘i Treasures was using her jewelry making skills to squeeze in a lei for her neice’s dance recital, and did you see that 2023 calendar of Natalie Nishioka art from Nataliearth? She’ll be back at the Wailua Creators’ Fair on Dec. 23, too.
Kudos, Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardin and her Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leina‘ala on a very successful (several of the pa‘u units participating in this year’s Kamehameha Day parade were engaged in the Huana Kahele Ni‘ihau shell workshops!) pop-up (Christmas stockings by Manuheali‘i?) at the former Pier 1 site, where even Target employees dropped some change on their break!
