LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative’s Nominating Committee has confirmed three candidates for its Board of Directors election to be held on March 18, 2023.
The nominated candidates are, in alphabetical order: Dee M. Crowell, Kimberly K. Lord and Allan A. Smith. Crowell and Smith are current board members.
Each year, KIUC holds an election to fill three of nine director positions that each carry a three-year term. The directors elected in the 2023 election will hold a term that expires in 2026.
Members may also run for the cooperative’s board by submitting a completed petition form, which includes the name, service address, phone and/or account number and signature of at least 35 members. Potential petition candidates must also fill out Board Policy 18 and attend a board orientation.
Completed petitions and Board Policy 18 may be scanned and emailed to info@kiuc.coop, or hard-copy submissions can be left in the night depository at the KIUC office at 4463 Pahe‘e St. in Lihu‘e no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
