HANAPEPE — The public is invited to attend a book signing for Dawn Fraser Kawahara’s latest book, “The ‘Green Flash’ Calabash: Pre-Pandemic Kaua‘i Chronicles” on Friday, Dec. 9 at Talk Story Bookstore in Hanapepe.
HANAPEPE — The public is invited to attend a book signing for Dawn Fraser Kawahara’s latest book, “The ‘Green Flash’ Calabash: Pre-Pandemic Kaua‘i Chronicles” on Friday, Dec. 9 at Talk Story Bookstore in Hanapepe.
The event, which takes place during Hanapepe Art Night, is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kawahara will also be signing her previously released memoirs, “Behold Kaua‘i,” at the event, where $1 from each book sale will be donated to the Kaua‘i Forest Bird Recovery Project.
“From my earliest childhood, my most treasured gifts were always a book,” Kawahara said in a statement. “Reading became a magic carpet that carried me into far lands and adventures, never-forgotten stories and lessons for life.”
