Rodney and Savannah Sagucio of Shaka Burger (phone 808-388-4290; 2403 Ulumaika St.) had a line for their burgers long after the Lights on Rice holiday parade in Lihu‘e Friday. They will next be at the Dec. 11 version of the Wailua Creators’ Fair at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i Wailua Bay.

From left, Cerriah Perreira, Iris Cassidy, Tira Barretto, Kiki Pagador, Frances Dullaga and Trisha Watanabe of Child & Family Service Headstart are ready to serve up hot cocoa (with the rabbit-pellet-sized marshmallows) on Friday at the Lights on Rice holiday parade in Lihu‘e.

Dick Olson of the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i said, “It’s all your fault!” Friday night as he and Tom Lodico (remember the Koloa Sugar Mill Run?) directed the Sons of Hawai‘i/Grove Farm Museum multi-vehicle units at the corner of Rice and ‘Eiwa streets.
