Traffic calming devices a good way to stop speeders
Traffic calming devices a good way to stop speeders
On Kaumuali‘i Highway just before exiting Waimea (near the park) to Kekaha, there was a raised (hump) crosswalk put in place on the highway. That is a good idea!
However, it might be an accident waiting to happen. Drivers who do not know about that hump might come to a sudden stop and may be rear ended. Also, may cause a chain reaction of cars getting hit.
On a second thought, why doesn’t the state install several (maybe three or four) of those humps on Waiolo Road heading to Port Allen to stop the speeders on that tiny stretch of road, since there are hardly no patrol officers to control speeders in that area?
Don’t wait for someone to get run over or death to happen!
