Highway needs restriping
Kuhio Highway heading from Kapa‘a to Wilcox Hospital is sorely in need of repainting of the lane stripes. This is a main thoroughfare and having the lanes clearly marked is necessary. Often people are in a hurry and may not be familiar with this road.
At night it is difficult to see the lane marks and especially with rain. There are curves that are unexpected and turnoffs and entrances into shopping and so on that add to the problem. I hope this can remedied very soon.

Centerline stripping is a major safety factor in safe traffic control and an essential function of the engineering road maintenance department. Failing to restripe the roads annually is a dereliction of duty and absolute failure by management to do the job they were hired to do.
Strongly suggest everyone start sending letters to the mayor, he has responsibility to seeing people actually do the job they are paid to do, especially when it involves YOUR safety.
