KAPA‘A — The County of Kaua‘i announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed and detours put in place from Monday to Friday, Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the ongoing construction of a new five-way intersection.

Koloa
• One lane on a portion of Maluhia Road is scheduled to close on Monday, Nov. 28, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for asphalt paving work.
Wailua
• Both northbound lanes of Kuhio Highway will be closed between Papaloa Road and the Kapa‘a bypass road for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 29 through Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Papaloa Road. A single southbound lane will be open on Kuhio Highway between the Kapa‘a bypass road and Kuamo‘o Road beginning at 8 a.m. Left turns will be allowed from the highway intersections with Haleilio and Kuamo‘o roads on a trial basis beginning Thursday, Dec. 1. Contra-flow will complete set up at the normal time of approximately 5:15 a.m., and will be taken down between the Kapa‘a bypass road and Kuamo‘o Road at 8 a.m. Contra-flow will be taken down between Kuamo‘o Road and Kapule Highway beginning at the normal time of approximately 11:15 a.m. Wailua bridge improvements may also take place during work hours in this area. A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway in the southbound direction are possible between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
Kalaheo
• A shoulder closure in the eastbound direction on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible between mile markers 11.7 and 13, from Monday through Friday, Nov. 28 to Dec. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the vicinity of Papalina Road and Halewili Road, for utility work.

Koloa Tree tunnel road- last week they did some weed wacking and tree trimming – terrible quality… they need to pull the weeds and also clean up the road after all the trimming work done. So very sad!!!!
