Kudos, Roy Nishida and the East Kaua‘i Lions Club, on partnering with all those agencies to coordinate the “Take Charge of your Health: Free Diabetes and Blood Pressure Screening” last Saturday at the Kaua‘i Philippine Cultural Center in Puhi, where you didn’t need to fast to enjoy some of the benefits of the clinic.

Randy Francisco was there with Kaua‘iFILCOM, and kudos, Sharon De La Pena of Ho‘ola Lahui Hawai‘i on the great food demo that came in time for lunch.
And it’s nice to see (Col.) Toni Torres and Pua Kaohelauli‘i outside of COVID-19, Tropic Care Kaua‘i and food distributions.
Nope, Kelvin Moniz and the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank teamed with the Hawa‘i Lodging &Tourism Association Kaua‘i chapter, Kaua‘i Lifeguard Association, Football Officials, the county’s Employee Council and others to distribute food at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall in Lihu‘e. Incidentally, this is the final weekend for the Hawai‘i Children’s Theatre musical “Seussical!” at that venue. Don’t be late.
Happy anniversary, Pau Hana Market, whcih celebrated its anniversary (Na Hanohano award-winning KeKona was live with entertainment!) by launching Small Business Shopping Week (Robbie Melton of the Small Business Development Center didn’t realize there were that many shoppers at the farmers market), and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack (she’s been to how many showings of “Seussicals?”) said Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i is getting ready for both Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
Happy Thanksgiving!
