Katrina Sahut of the Wilcox Medical Center Gift Shop said shoppers come special for See’s Candies because that’s one of the few, if any, places where they can get those chocolates in person, and Jason Camat of the hospital’s Environmental Services department was as proud of the hospital’s recycling and reuse program as he was of the robot that uses ultra-violet light to disinfect things as large as a room.

Kudos, Jen Chahanovich and the entire Wilcox (yes, Medical Center, too!) ‘ohana on hosting the first-ever career day on the scale it did on Friday. The perioperative nurses celebrated Perioperative Nurses Week, too. And kudos, Waimea High School students, for even dressing the part by showing up in scrubs. Keiko Sagawa-Pananganan said only health students in cheer and varsity football missed out because they were participating in the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Division II football semifinals on Hawai‘i Big Island.
Kudos, Laine Griffith and the Kalaheo School production ‘ohana for the delightful preview of “Disney’s 101 Dalmations” that will open on Dec. 2 for one weekend only (oops, that means the Sunshine Express won’t be able to do the Lights on Rice holiday parade. Dave Lister of The Rotary Club of Kaua‘i — kudos on a great Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run! — said the website is active for registration!)
