KAPA‘A — The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed, and detours will be put in place, from Monday through Friday, Nov. 21 to 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for continued construction of the improved intersection. No work will occur on Thursday, Nov. 24, Thanksgiving day.

• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway will occur in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements. Full closure of both lanes is possible in either direction of Kuhio Highway between Kuamo‘o Road and the Kapa‘a bypass road, From Monday to Wednesday, Nov. 21 to 23, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wailua bridge improvements may also take place during work hours in this area. There will be one lane available in each direction.
