This is a new date and time for the time-honored craft fair that was started by Elsie H. Wilcox Elementary School teachers a long time ago. Yes, Elena Camat will be there with a full line of Chinese pretzel flavors. Her representative was at the St. Michael event while she took care of the Grove Farm Market and the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market.
Robbie Melton was checking out the Kaua‘i Made Aunty Manapua offerings. Holly Ka‘iakapu said Friday Art Night was pretty good last week, too.
Keith Smith, grand marshall of the Koloa Plantation Days historic parade, and Alan Van Zee were both test-driving that donated Ho‘okipa ‘ukulele that came with a hand-crafted koa carrying case. And who made that bonsai from the candle plant (check out that plant with your fancy iPhone 14, Brian Atendido)?
Berna and Ira McRoberts of Kaua‘i Threadworks (she does embroidery and heat press. Ira said it’s more durable than silk screening) will be showing at The Beach House fair coming up on Nov. 20 (yes, it’s a Sunday for those who have crazy Saturday schedules), and then again on Nov. 26 at the Kaua‘i Paradise Heirloom event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
So (yes, Ira McRoberts!), who has a master schedule of all the craft fairs and when they’re happening on Kaua‘i?
