HONOLULU — The Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association announced that tickets for the Saturday First Hawaiian Bank HHSAA Division II football game will be available online at GoFan.co/hhsaa starting Monday.
Jon Kobayashi, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation athletic director who coordinates the football games, said the KIF coaches passes and other complimentary KIF passes will not be valid for the Saturday contest that starts at 1 p.m. at Hanapepe Stadium.
The event is an HHSAA function and thereby invalidates any KIF passes.
The Division II contest will see the No. 3 seed Waimea Menehune host the Kaiser Cougars in the first round of the Division II championship playoffs.
The winner of the contest will advance to face the No. 2 seed Honoka‘a Dragons on Hawai‘i Island on Nov. 19.
Kapa‘a High School, the KIF champions, is competing in the First Hawaiian Bank HHSAA Division I state championships.
The Warriors are seeded No. 5 in Division I and will face No. 4 seed Waipahu on Friday in a 7 p.m. contest at Waipahu High School on O‘ahu.
