LIHU‘E — Three seniors from the boys and three seniors from the girls are included in the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation bowling all-stars that were announced on Wednesday.
The all-stars include the top six bowlers, based on their season averages, in each of the boys and girls divisions.
Kaua‘i High, winning the boys team title, placed five of the six boys, and a sole girl bowler, Mikayla Pacheco-Villanueva, a junior who posted an average of 159.33.
Kaikoa Ki‘ilau-Carvalho topped the boys all-stars with a 239.33 average, followed by Kyllie Sasaki with a 203.78 average. Aaron Juliano finished the season with a 192.57, followed by Shayne Shibuya with a 189 average. Trestyn Reis rounded out the Red Raider listing with a 179.56 average.
Richard Palacio was the sole Waimea bowler on the boys’ listing with a 183.89 average.
Kapa‘a High girls, winning the KIF girls team title, placed three on the all-star list, including Jennifer Hayakawa with a 195.33 average, Skye Tadani, who finished the season at 175.33 average, and Kailee Gorospe, an 11th grader with a 174.56 average.
Waimea High placed two rollers on the all-star list: seniors Erich Borbos, who finished the season with a 173.11 average, and Irish Oriente, who ended with a 154.89 average.
