KILAUEA — The state Department of Transportation announced a roving, right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 21.8 and 23, Kahili Makai Street and Ku‘awa Road, Monday through Friday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass and tree trimming around guardrails.

• Portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed, and detours will be put in place, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., as construction of the new roundabout continues.
Wailua
• A right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements. A full closure of northbound lanes of Kuhio Highway will occur between Kuamo‘o Road and Haleilio Road Monday through Friday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
Lihu‘e
• A roving, single-lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 3.7 and 9.6, vicinity of Pu‘uana Road and Piko Road, Monday through Friday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass trimming around guardrails.
Koloa
• Portions of Maluhia and Koloa roads will be closed from Monday through Friday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., for grass-cutting and shoulder-maintenance work.
