KOLOA — The Rotary Club of Kaua‘i announced the 20th annual Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run, presented by Wilcox Health, will run on Nov. 12, starting at the Anne Knudsen Park, the junction of Maluhia Road and Emi Road.
KOLOA — The Rotary Club of Kaua‘i announced the 20th annual Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run, presented by Wilcox Health, will run on Nov. 12, starting at the Anne Knudsen Park, the junction of Maluhia Road and Emi Road.
Billed as “Kaua‘i’s premier 5-K, 10-K, Half Marathon Run and non-competitive 5-K Walk,” the half marathon will start at 7 a.m. followed by the 5K run and walk starting at 7:15 A.M. The 10K run will start at 7:30 a.m.
A continental breakfast will be served as the first finishers arrive at the finish line. This is expected to start at around 8 a.m., with the race winners being announced at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Awards will be presented to top overall male and female finishers, with medals going to age-group winners. All finishers of the half marathon will receive medals.
The breakfast is free to all participants, and available for $10 for family, friends and visitors.
Online registration for the events can be done by visiting oldkoloasugarmillrun.org. In-person late registration can be done at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e on Nov. 11 during race packet pickup from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be no race-day registration. The registration fee includes the continental breakfast and a microfiber T-shirt.
All of the proceeds from this event will go toward local scholarships for students at Kaua‘i Community College, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.
Professional timing by JTL Timing provides an individual time card to each runner at the end of the run.
The events are made possible by the Wilcox Health, with additional support from Corteva Agriscience, the County of Kaua‘i, the Salvation Army and other community sponsors.
