When the cowbell sounds at the Pau Hana Market (it’s not at the Kukui Grove Marketplace where Target is!) at Kukui Grove Center Monday, this is the last chance to get your hands on some of those 2,500 free Kaua‘i-grown (kudos, Josh Uyehara and the Hartung Brothers ‘ohana!) pumpkins (no, Mel Rapozo, these are jack-o-lantern pumpkins, not eating pumpkins!). Rachel Secretario is scheduled to come after school to help families and kiddies with some pumpkin-carving tips and techniques for free, too. This all starts at 3 p.m. when the cowbell goes off!

Kudos to Melissa McFerrin-Warrack of the KGC on coordinating the three — Halloween pop swap, the Hawai‘i Girl Scouts’ health fair (no pumpkins in the nourishment station), and the anniversaries celebration at the Kaua‘i Ocean Discovery (amazing how their hands-on activity and Popo’s Cookies giveaway fit right in with the Girl Scouts’ health stations!) — as a preview for the Halloween weekend (last chance for Freaky Fridays this week).
Happy Halloween! Stay safe!
