HONOLULU — Data released on Wednesday by the state Department of Health showed 66 new COVID-19 cases on Kaua‘i, and 2,211 new cases statewide.
Kaua‘i’s seven-day, COVID-19 case average remained nearly the same this week at 10 cases a day, compared with nine cases a day last week.
The test positivity rate on Kaua‘i was 7.9 percent, compared with 5.8 percent statewide.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported on the island this month.
This week, free COVID-19 home test kits were distributed at county neighborhood centers. Tests are still available on Oct. 21 at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex in Kapa‘a from 9 a.m. to noon, and at the Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center from 1 to 4 p.m.
