Kudos to Renae Hamilton Cambeilh of the YWCA of Kaua‘i, the Zonta Club of Kaua‘i, the Mokihana Club and Alice Luck of the Kaua‘i Planning & Action Alliance, Keiki to Career, Kamawailualani, and all those communication people for hosting the (Luke Evslin said “first”) in-person political forum for County Council candidates (yes, Nelson Mukai made it to the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation girls volleyball games in time Friday night, and Billy DeCosta’s Kapa‘a High School construction students are moving along with their code-approved tiny homes project). Very thought-provoking event!

For those who missed the in-person event, there’s a ton of information on YWomenVote.org (at least the answers to the big questions), and there is a video that’ll be aired on Ho‘ike Community Television (dang, J Robertson was on O‘ahu on National Coffee Day!) very shortly.
Tommy Noyes and Pat Griffith (up to 300 volunteers needed for the Make A Difference Work Day Saturday at Lydgate Park!) were on hand to get a preview for moderating the Friday event.
Happy birthday, Alan Faye, who was “surprised” with a luncheon by Jill Faye-Papworth at The Plantation House at Kilohana, where Cyndi Ayonon was lunching with Roberta Charles and Gloria Rivera was busy working on her Ni‘ihau shells.
OK, don’t forget the candlelight vigil for victims of domestic violence coming up Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. at St. Michael’s & All Angels Church in Lihu‘e. Child care is provided.
