KILAUEA — The state Department of Transportation announced a roving right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 10.2 and 24.4, Kealia Road and Kahiliholo Road, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 17 to 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

Wailua
• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements.
Kapa‘a
• Portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from Monday through Friday, Oct. 17 to 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The intersections will experience temporary traffic shifts, and temporary traffic control plans will be in place as construction of the new roundabout continues. No road work occurs during the peak traffic times for school dropoff and pickup.
Koloa
• A roving, single-lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 5.4 and 8.8, vicinity of Kahili Road and Pi‘iwai Place, Monday through Friday, Oct. 17 to 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for grass trimming around guardrails.
Po‘ipu
• Portions of Po‘ipu Road will be closed now through Wednesday, Oct. 19, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for road-resurfacing work. No road work will occur during the peak traffic times for school drop-off. Lane closures will occur during the following locations and dates: Between Koloa Road and the Po‘ipu Road roundabout, now through Tuesday, Oct. 18, in both directions at times; Between Ala Kinoiki and Ainako Street (near the Grand Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa), Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 18 and Oct. 19. One lane will remain open to accommodate traffic in both directions.
Lawa‘i
• A shoulder closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway is possible in the eastbound direction between mile markers 9.6 and 9.8, vicinity of Aulima Road and Piko Road, Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 19 to Oct. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work.
