Firefighters extinguish structure fire in Waipouli on Friday
WAIPOULI — Firefighters from the Kapa‘a fire station did not have to go far to extinguish a structure fire Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported. Firefighters were dispatched to Kuhio Highway at approximately 2:45 p.m. Personnel from several stations and bureaus responded. Upon arrival, fire personnel discovered black smoke from a unit at the Kaua‘i Kailani resort. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. Damages to structure and contents are estimated at $20,000.
