Happy birthday, Morgan Lopez, who got some flowers and balloons from Hawai‘iUSA Federal Credit Union Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, during the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Kapa‘a Beach Park (where’re the flowers, Lisa Andersson of Shioi Construction?), where everyone enjoyed the corporate sponsorships (microfiber eyeglass cases, Hawai‘i Medical Service Association? Mahalo!).

Scout (Scouts of America!) Troop 148 turned out full force to volunteer by walking the course on Ke Ala Hele Makala‘e (Tommy Noyes has a whole month of activities for October, including the Make A Difference work day Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Lydgate Park).
Kudos to Randal Francisco (he was going to check out Kumu Hula Leina‘ala Pavao Jardine and Halau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leina‘ala because they’re scheduled to appear at the Hanapepe Coffee and Chocolate Festival coming up this weekend, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14 and 15, 2022.
There is a gala dinner at Blue Umi (Japanese Grandma for us non-gala people) that takes place in Hanapepe, and Randy’s FilCom Cares group offered free COVID-19 test kits (Mel Rapozo was supposed to get his after the Walk to End Alzheimer’s).
Carol Kouchi (have you checked out her “Fantasizing” at the Kaua‘i Society of Artists Art Kaua‘i 2022 show in the gallery at Kukui Grove Center in Lihu‘e yet?) had her Boroboro Boutique (lots of chanchanko to choose from) out for only the second time at the Grove Farm Market Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 in Puhi.
Ace Housemart has its big holiday craft fair Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e.
CEO Marcus (they call him “Da Boss”) of Cheesecakes by Marcus was busy projecting next year’s market.
Carol said the highly-popular Kaua‘i Handworks craft fair (is Eve Solomon going to have pieces there?) comes back the weekend before Thanksgiving (Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022) at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center. You’ve been told. No more excuses for going to the wrong place.
OK, time to go see what they’re getting excited about at the Pau Hana Market at KGC (Fall Festival starting the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022).
