Aloha everyone. I live at the foot of the Sleeping Giant, in Wailua Homesteads, and had to go to Coco Palms Resort where I worked for many years. I had to pass Opaeka‘a Falls every day. I have seen many couples looking at the falls and dreaming of their future together. Some fall in love and some have to part. That is how I got the feeling to compose this song, enjoy it.

Opaeka‘a
Opaeka‘a, the waterfalls that call to me,
Beside you we walked in the rain. We
Vowed our love would never die, but soon
The clouds came by, we had to say goodbye.
Opaeka‘a, the waterfalls that call to me,
Memories of you remain, of days ago that
Used to be, when you walked with me, but
Now you’re not with me.
Opaeka‘a, how peaceful and lovely you are,
My heart longs for the same. But I know it
Will never be until you’re back with me,
Opaeka‘a, bring my love back to me,
Opaeka‘a, bring my love back to me.

Mr Rivera, wouldn’t it be nice if the state would cut the trees blocking the view of 80% of the view of the beautiful falls?
