The test positivity on Kaua‘i is 7.6%, compared to 5.7% statewide.
The Department of Health updated the statewide COVID case count to include reinfection — people having COVID for a second or third time. While this led to a large jump in total cases reported, the actual number of new cases continued a downward trend statewide.
