LIHU‘E — On Thursday, Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like announced that Lopaka Santos-Dasalia, 20, of Koloa, was charged via Grand Jury Indictment with two counts of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, and one count of Harassment, for an incident involving a bomb threat made against Koloa Elementary School on Sept. 26.
LIHU‘E — On Thursday, Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like announced that Lopaka Santos-Dasalia, 20, of Koloa, was charged via Grand Jury Indictment with two counts of Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, and one count of Harassment, for an incident involving a bomb threat made against Koloa Elementary School on Sept. 26.
His bail is currently set at $100,000. If convicted, Santos-Dasalia faces up to a five-year imprisonment sentence.
Like said, “Our Office continues to prioritize protecting the most vulnerable in our community. Threats made against our children, or our schools will not be tolerated. Mahalo to the Kaua‘i Police Department, Kaua‘i Fire Department and American Medical Response who cleared the area and assisted with the evacuation of the school.”
The charges are merely allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
He doesn’t know how to make a bomb. That should lessen the jail time. In Colorado it’s life sentence. And Hawai’i?
