PRINCEVILLE — Princeville and Kapa‘a host to a merging of dancers, differing cultures and dance styles in the Sixth annual “Raqs Tiki” dance event featuring internationally acclaimed drummer Issam Houshan and David of Scandinavia.
PRINCEVILLE — Princeville and Kapa‘a host to a merging of dancers, differing cultures and dance styles in the Sixth annual “Raqs Tiki” dance event featuring internationally acclaimed drummer Issam Houshan and David of Scandinavia.
The star-studded lineup of dancers includes Devilla of Hollywood, California, Crystal Ravenwolf of Hanford, California, Surreyya Hada of San Francisco and Producer and Host Talia Soleil of Kaua‘i, and numerous local favorites.
The weekend of dance workshops will focus on Middle Eastern dance and proves to challenge and inspire a wide demographic of dancers and skill levels.
There will also be a dance showcase where locals will get a rare opportunity to witness this wide variety of talent.
Dance and music workshops will be held at the Church of the Pacific in Princeville.
The Raqs Tiki Showcase is Saturday, Oct. 1. Doors open at 6 p.m. for shopping,with the showcase beginning at 7 p.m.
