LIHU‘E — The County of Kaua‘i Department of Liquor Control has expanded its payment options for liquor-license-fee renewals, and now accepts credit card and Automated Clearing House (ACH) debit transactions.
To make a payment online, visit the Department of Liquor Control website at kauai.gov/liquor or use the direct link: http://kauailiquorpayments.ehawaii.gov/. Additional processing fees may apply.
The Department of Liquor Control calculates a percentage fee annually for those who hold liquor licenses, in accordance with Rule 4.4 of the Rules and Regulations of the County of Kaua‘i Liquor Control Commission.
Invoices were mailed to all licensees on Sept. 15, and must be paid in full on or before Oct. 30. Late submissions are subject to a daily penalty as outlined in the Rules and Regulations of the Liquor Control Commission.
This new paperless-payment option allows businesses to make payments online, and aligns with the department’s goal to improve customer service. The department will continue to allow payments made via mail or in person for those who prefer those options.
