WAIMEA — The Hawai‘i State Public Library System announced that the Waimea Public Library will offer limited door services at the back parking lot entrance on La‘au Road beginning Monday.
Library parking lot and walkways improvements have been completed, though work on the library interior is still in progress and the building remains closed to the public.
When limited services begin, library users will be able to pick up holds, request items from the library collection, access free Wi-Fi, use Chromebooks, and use print and copy services.
Service hours will be noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and noon to 4 p.m. Friday. The library is closed Saturday and Sunday.
The library is at 9750 Kaumuali‘i Highway.
The HSPLS digital doors are always open at librarieshawaii.org. With just a library card patrons can download ebooks, stream movies, learn a language, read The New York Times and more.
