LIHU‘E — “We just want people to come and watch,” said Todd Ozaki who is coordinating the “Hang with the Tangs” appearance of professional bowlers Michael and Darren Tang from California to Kaua‘i Bowl. “The Tangs will be holding an exhibition match on Sept. 28 that is limited to just six qualifiers — four adults, and two youth.”
The first event of the three-event tour is an Adult Clinic, a 30-minute question and answer period followed by two hours on-lane lessons. There is a $125 fee to participate in the clinic that will take place Sept. 27 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Kaua‘i.
“There are still some spots remaining for this first event,” Ozaki said. “People can call 808-647-1292 if they’re interested in the remaining spots for the adult clinic.”
The Exhibition Match with the PBA professionals takes place Sept. 28 starting at 6:30 p.m. at Kaua‘i Bowl. There is no admission to watch and cheer in the match.
Following the match, the Tang brothers will lead a Youth Clinic on Oct. 1 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Kaua‘i Bowl.
Unfortunately, the clinic that is limited to 20 participants is sold out, Ozaki said.
