Ray (Bull) Kukunaokala Katsumi Harada Sr.
Ray (Bull) Kukunaokala Katsumi Harada Sr., 75, of Wainiha, passed away at Samuel Mahelona Hospital on Aug. 31, 2022. He was born in Kilauea, on Aug. 14, 1947, raised in Lumaha‘i and loved living his life as a cowboy and a hunter.
He was preceded in death by parents Allen Genichi and Rose Harada, Allen “Akida” Genichi Harada, Alfred “Yoshi” Harada Sr. and granddaughter Elizabeth “Chieko” Harada.
He is survived by his sister Lily “Mieko” (Wilbert “Afuk”) Tai Hook, Mother of his children Bethan (Pua) Baptista, children Chanderrae Snyder, Ray ”Kuna” Harada Jr., Zion Harada, Alpha “Harue” Harada, Ka‘ohu Harada, grandchildren Chandlyn “Harue” Harada, Chazlyn “Mieko” Harada, Zen “Chikada” Harada-Sexton, Challen “Katsumi” Harada-Snyder, Zaaron “Akida” Harada-Snyder, Tyren-John “Satoru” Harada-Snyder, Juden-James “Teruo” Harada-Snyder, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life is Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at 5-2950 Kuhio Hwy. at the Wilbert Tai Hook Estate (Kalihiwai). Visitation with the family will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m., with services to follow.

Ricardo Sales Fermin
Ricardo Sales Fermin passed away on Aug. 27, 2022, at the age of 102. He was born on Apr. 23, 1920, in Balacad, Ilocos Norte Philippines. He was a flume installer for McBryde Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by wife Presentacion Fermin, daughter Grace Dixon and son-in-law Todd Dixon.
He is survived by son Randall (Chrystal) Fermin of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu, daughter Aileen Fermin of ‘Ele‘ele, Kaua‘i, grandchildren Timothy Dixon, Jessica Dixon, Madison Fermin, Makanalani Fermin and Mallory Fermin, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life services is Saturday, Oct. 8, at Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Kaua‘i Memorial Garden on Monday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. The family requests aloha attire and kindly omits flowers.

Paul Kaipo Pomaikai Jr.
Paul Kaipo Pomaikai Jr. passed away on Sept. 23, 2021, at the age of 48. He was born on Nov. 15, 1972.
He is survived by children Edward R Navas, Paul “Pauly Boy” Navas, Kalib Navas, Kodi Navas, who all resides with their mother Thelma Navas of Nanakuli, O‘ahu, mother Lori (Lincoln) Akuna, father Paul (Donna) Pomaikai Sr., siblings Yasumori (Elsie) Pomaikai, Shyla (Richard) Colipano, Justin (Kanae) Morikawa, Jason (Michele) Padilla, Derrick (Jensen) Costido, Desiree Pomaikai and Cole Pomaikai.
A gathering of life is Friday, Sept. 23, at Hanamaulu Beach Park on Kauai from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Eric Dale Hiroshi Wakumoto Jr.
Eric Dale Hiroshi Wakumoto Jr, 35, of Kapa‘a, passed away on Aug. 28, 2022, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 12, 1987, in Lihu‘e. He was a proud business owner of Slippery-N-Wet Pressure Washing Service where he took pride in his work.
He started his business to pass down to his children. He was a loving, hardworking, caring, devoted husband, father, son-in-law, brother-in-law, son and brother.
He loved taking care of his family and never letting them go without. He enjoyed taking his family fishing, watching movies, playing RC cars and just spending time with his family. He was the jack of all trades. He could fix anything that was broken, from TVs to RC cars, cell phones, and cars. He was and will always be an amazing husband and father, and he will always be our Hero!
He was preceded in death by uncle Loren J. Rendon, in-laws grandparents Tony and Pearl Silva Sr. and Richard and Donna Gonsalves Sr.
He is survived by wife Tiffany Wakumoto, sons Keanu (Athea) Silva Wakumoto, Ceyan Silva Wakumoto, Keenai Silva Wakumoto, Kingsley Silva Wakumoto, daughter Kiana Silva Wakumoto, in-laws Antone and Donna Silva Jr, Antone (Chaunte) Silva III, Joseph (Brandy) Silva Sr, Shane (Jenie) Silva Sr, Donna (David) Saroas, parents Eric Wakumoto Sr and Christine Rendon, grandparents Papa Herminio and Laureana Rendon, sisters Jenna (Kapena) Tehero, Jaimie (James) Wakumoto, brother Jonathan (Sha’nisha) Wakumoto, numerous nieces and nephews.
A service is Saturday, Oct. 1, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary with viewing at 10 a.m. followed by service at 11 a.m.
