Edie Ignacio Neumiller read about the gathering and said the YWCA of Kaua‘i is hosting a Kaua‘i County Council candidate forum at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall on Oct. 13 and 14 (it’s never to early to start x-ing out dates).
Sherry Olkonen of the line dancing group said a reminder that there is no fee to attend the big (30-plus vendors) craft fair taking 1st place, Saturday at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center. Passes are needed to enter the workshops, instruction, and dancing, but not needed for the craft fair.
Kapa‘a JROTC instructor Ian Versammy and his cadets will be helping with the Line Dancing Festival after being involved with the Kapa‘a High School homecoming, and the Department of Water Make A Splash water education event that was held for fifth grade students at the North Vidinha fields. Kudos, Jonell Kaohelauli‘i and all those DOW hands on a great 17th event where Honolulu Wastewater’s Kyle Tokuda and Shah Tariq, and Juanita Reyher Colon of Moloka‘i (her office is on the Big Island) of the Hawai‘i Rural Water Association came to see about getting Make A Splash become more widely-known in the state.
