HONOLULU — In its 29th year, Hawai‘i Children and Youth Day and Month events celebrate the talent, contributions and potential of treasured children and youth.
The Youth Advocate award honors those who have demonstrated notable achievements in children and youth advocacy during the past year (Oct. 2021 to Sept. 2022).
In order for the youngest generation to thrive, diverse organizations and individuals throughout the islands give selflessly of their time and talent. The committee will recognize winners in three categories: Child/youth (age 6-18); adult, age 19and up; and an organization.
Nominations are due on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 4 p.m. Nominees can either complete a simple online submission form or access the PDF form to print and email. For more information, visit https://hawaiicyd.org/outstanding-advocates.
Winners will be notified next week, and will be invited to an awards ceremony in Honolulu on Friday, Sept. 30.
