PO‘IPU — Despite two downpours delaying play, the Labor Day Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Tournament crowned its champions Monday.
The event raised $1,410 in entry fees and an additional $440 in prize entries, and a very generous donation from a special tennis player.
All proceeds from the tournament went to Kaua‘i United Way.
Organizers gave special thanks to Koloa Landing, Koloa Fish Market, Brennecke’s Beach Broiler, Volcano Pizza, Score At Hand, Kaua‘i Community Tennis Organization, and U.S. Tennis Association Hawai‘i.
