LIHU‘E — Admission passes for the two-day line-dancing festival and craft fair are available at the door starting Friday and continuing through Saturday as a fund-raising event for the Kaua‘i Veterans Center and Museum.
Admission passes are available for the weekend, Friday night only, or Saturday workshops only, with special pricing for active military personnel and veterans.
Jeffrey Callejo Jr. and the Kaua‘i Line Dance group are hosting The Hawai‘i Line Dance Festival as a fundraiser for the Kaua‘i Veterans Center, with all proceeds going directly to the center.
“There will also be a large craft fair with more than 30 vendors on the grounds of the Kaua‘i Veterans Center Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,” said Sherry Olkonen of the Kaua‘i Line Dance group that meets for dancing every Wednesday at the Kaua‘i Bowl. “The line-dance event will feature dance workshops with instructors from the mainland and the state of Hawai‘i. There will also be open dancing throughout the event with food and drinks available for purchase.”
Doors open to the festival starting at 4 p.m. Friday and workshops and dancing taking place from 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday dance and workshop events take place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m., coinciding with the start of the craft fair.
