WAINIHA — The state Department of Transportation reported a right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 6 and 7, between Lumaha‘i River and Wainiha Bay Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.
Hanalei
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 3.8 and 4.9, between Waikoko bridge and Lumahai Beach, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for landscaping, tree trimming and debris removal;
• A portion of Weke Road in Hanalei near Black Pot Beach Park will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., to disassemble and remove concrete barriers from the grass shoulder area.
Kapa‘a
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 9 and 10, between Kawaihau Road and Kealia Beach Park, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.
Wailua
• A single alternating lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road is possible in either direction, at mile marker 4.8, in the vicinity of Aina Pono Street, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pavement edge and landscaping work;
• A right-shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kuhio Highway are possible in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and the Kapa‘a bypass road, for the continuing Kuhio Highway Short-Term Improvements;
• A portion of Olohena Road near Olohena Bridge No. 2 will be closed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 8, 10 and 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., to install concrete barriers, signs and striping on the single-lane bridge. The bridge is between Kamalu Road and Waipouli Road. Road work will begin after the morning school traffic ends and before the afternoon school traffic starts.
Koloa

Hanama‘ulu
• A right-lane closure on Kuhio Highway is possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 3, between Hanama‘ulu Road and Kauai Beach Drive, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.
Po‘ipu
• Portions of Po‘ipu Road will be closed Tuesday through Friday, Aug. 9 to 12, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for road-resurfacing work, roundabout to Ainako Street.
Waimea
• A right-lane closure of Waimea Canyon Drive is possible in either direction, between mile markers 8 and 10, Monday through Friday, Aug. 8 to 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for guardrail repairs.
