There will be no traditional walk-up to purchase a “tear-off” paper ticket for the 2022-23 school year.
As a matter of information, there will be two KIF pre-season football games, Saturday.
Pearl City High School will be visiting Kaua‘i High School at Vidinha Stadium for Junior Varsity and Varsity contests. The JV game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m., and the Varsity contest has a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
At the Hanapepe Stadium, the Waimea High School football team will be hosting Kaimuki in a single varsity contest starting at 7 p.m.
On Aug. 13, the Kapa‘a High School Warriors, the current KIF and state Division II champions, will host St. Louis in a single varsity contest starting at 1 p.m. at the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Park stadium.
On the same day, Kaua‘i High School will be hosting Baldwin High School of the Maui Interscholastic League to a single varsity contest starting at 4:30 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
The first KIF season contest will feature Kapa‘a traveling to Vidinha Stadium on Aug. 27 with the JV contest kicking off at 1:30 p.m., and the varsity contest kicking off 30 minutes following the end of the JV game.
The first KIF girls volleyball games serve up on Sept. 6 when Kapa‘a travels to the Kaua‘i High School gym, and Waimea Hight School travels to the Wilcox Gymnasium at Island School.
The JV games at both sites start at 5 p.m. with the varsity contest serving up 25 minutes following the completion of the JV contests.
